Kipri beach is situated on the southwestern region of the Andros Island. The area is ideal for swimming and it is the most popular on the island, just after Chrysi Ammos.

From July till August, “Meltemi” northern winds comes over the high mountains of the island. Ideal time to windsurf is in the morning until 11:30 when the sun and the temperature are not very high. Noon until about 17:30 is windy with a lot gusts. From 17:30 until 19:00 the wind speed drops a bit. From 19:00 until sunset, the more stable conditions of the day. With N & NW very gusty and offshore conditions. With NE, E the air is more stable, with side shore, side offshore direction.

W and N winds are rarer, especially from May till August.

If you are a beginner, the place is not recommended if the club is not open, as the wind is off-shore and too gusty. Make sure that you have come into contact with rescuers before entering the water.

Amazing crystal clear water, with sandy seabed. Some friendly stones near the coast. It is no wonder why the beach hosts a scuba facility.

Access to Kipri:

The best option to get around Andros is to hire a car (there are 3 rental agencies in Andros). Of course, there are frequent bus schedules to all the main destinations in Andros. Also you can call a taxi from the port.

To reach the spot you have to take the main road from the port of Gavrio to Stavropeda. It is located right after “Chryssi Ammos” and before “Agios Kiprianos” (5 km from Batsi town and 29 km from the town of Andros).

Access to Andros:

Arrival by Airplane: Andros does not have its own airport. If you are coming to Andros from the International Airport of Athens, in Spata, you can use the Green Public Bus (KTEL of Attica) to the port of Rafina. The bus departs from the Arrivals Level, between Gates 2 and 3, just opposite the hotel of the airport (Sofitel). The distance is 10 km (20 minutes). Otherwise you can catch a taxi to Rafina Port. Then travel to Andros by ferry boat.

Arrival by Ferry/Boat: A ferry to Gavrio, the main port of Andros located in the northwest side of the island, departs from the port of Rafina, on the northern side of Athens. There is no ferry to Andros from Piraeus, the main port of Athens. Rafina is the closest port to the International Airport of Athens. The ferry takes 2 hours to reach Gavrio.

There are daily ferries all year round, but schedules are more frequent in summertime (1-2 daily during winter and up to 6 in the summer). Andros is also connected with other Cyclades Islands by ferry boat, including Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Syros, and Tinos.

Arrival by Car, Moto, Camper Van: By private car via Attica Avenue in the direction of Markopoulo, exiting at the sign that says Rafina. Drive along Marathonos Avenue until you reach Rafina. The distance from Athens to Rafina is 32 km.

Arrival by Bus: You can reach Rafina Port by Suburban KTEL bus from the Green Park in Athens.
