It is connected with Piraeus and other major cities of North and Central Greece, as well as islands of North Aegean, Sporades Islands, Cyclades, Dodecanese, Crete, Ionian Islands and Argosaronic.

The transition to the intercity bus station is quick and easy as the city bus stop is right outside the  airport and the routes are many and regularly throughout the day, every day of the year. The bus is also the cheapest way to get around Chalkidiki.

Leaving from the KTEL bus station of Thessaloniki travelers can get to Kassandra in approximately 90 minutes as well as the towns of Kallikratia, Nea Moudania, Kassandria, Kallithea and Paliouri. Bus services are also available from Thessaloniki or Poligyros to most major resorts of Chalkidiki at least once or twice per day.
